Why work with us?
Student Services Manager
I am Student Services Manager for the school. I have worked here for 9 years. My role is around Behaviour, Attendance and Transport. I have recently become part of the senior leadership team.
The opportunities and support I have now been offered have given me new motivation to succeed in my role and have made me feel more secure in my knowledge and this then enables me to support the students’ needs appropriately.
There are opportunities for training through the CPD pathway – I am currently on ‘Leadership Light’. This is good as I enjoy the training opportunities and the networking amongst the other schools within the MAT.
Head of Post-16
I am Head of Post 16 at Riverbank Academy. I have worked at the school for 15 months and in that time I have seen the conversion from Alice Stevens School to Riverbank Academy. The new school building is excellent and conducive to learning for our students. The behaviour, and management of behaviour, has improved dramatically and students now take pride in their building and new uniform.
In Post 16 we have been lucky enough to gain specific classrooms as well as a common room and flat, used for independent living skills. Since starting work at the school I have been supported by SLT, and the wider MAT. There has been some MAT training which is allowing staff to share their knowledge and skills and this can only improve all of our practices.
KS4/5 Teacher
Riverbank Academy is amazing. Every student is seen as an individual child; where their academic, social and emotional needs are addressed in a positive and proactive way.
Staff members are motivated and willing to enhance the learning, of every student, in a caring and creative environment. It is exciting being part of a team, focused on a journey, that will create an outstanding school at Riverbank Academy.
